In August, there will be another very special weekend of classes, from yet two more guest teachers, Deanna and Haraldine, in a technique sure to blow you away- using our old favourite embellishment –glitter- in a fantastic new way, guaranteed to change your whole way of using glitter!
THE GLITTER LADIES! Special “Meet and Greet” Demo! Friday August 8th from 2:30pm-5pm.
Deanna and Haraldine will be demonstrating a bunch of cool techniques NOT covered in the weekend’s classes!
There is a charge for this demo….. $10 plus gst….includes snacks and refreshments. (Please note, if you sign up for all three classes below, then this “Meet and Greet” Demo is no charge.)
BURNISHED VELVET 1 Friday, August 8th. 6pm-9pm. $45.00 plus gst.

This is the introduction to Burnished Velvet. We will teach you the technique through the creation of four stunning cards. Students will leave with a complete understanding of the General Rules and Tips to Burnished Velvet Basics. (Some supplies required, please see list below.)

Now that you have learned the rules it is time to break a few, but you must have learned them in Burnished Velvet 1. We will cover an introduction to hand cutting, overlays, and pattern develop-ment techniques. The first three cards are designed to assist you in developing these skills. With the last card, you will incorporate your newly developed skills and create your own design.
Supply list for both of the above classes:
Cutting Mat, Craft knife with #11 blade, (this is optional for BV#1) Blush Brush (one from a dollar store, or drugstore is fine), Ultra fine Tweezers (we recommend the ones from Haraldine, which will be available in the store before the classes.)

BRING ON THE BLING! We Using the incredible Glitter Ritz Glitter from In the Making (with their Joy and Christmas tree stamps), we are going to do some crazy stuff with metal tips, glue and glitter. These stamps were designed to be used in a conventional manner or of course, all decked out with Glitter. For anyone who thinks they cannot draw, think again. (Please note this class is technique based, be ready to play but maybe not necessarily to go home with a finished project.)

Saturdays are Demo days at STAMPERS! Bring a coffee and a notepad & pen and settle in to learn lots of new ideas and techniques to help you expand your creativity. Questions are encouraged! (Photos are okay, too!) We endeavor to scan up to the website all the finished cards done during the day’s demos during the following week as time permits..

10:30-12:30pm- A BAKERS DOZEN!! Using one of the Stamp It stamp sets, join Ann to see how many different cards you can get with one of their incredible designs sets!! (We will be using more techniques than what can be listed here!!)
1:30-2:30pm- HEAT IT UP!! It’s Steve’s turn now to demo all kinds of embossing powder and shrink plastic techniques, including fried frogs and dragonflies!!)
3pm-4pm- MORE QUICK AND EASY CARDS with 12 by 12’s. Here are even more ideas out there to get your creativity moving using some of the incredible selection of wonderful papers and cardstocks available today!!

Quilling class by renowned teacher and expert quiller Jean Smith!!
September 8th, 10-12noon Only $15 plus gst!
Required supplies: A package of 1/8” quilling strips, quilling tools, small sharp scissors, pins with coloured heads, small ruler, pointed tweezers, any white glue that dries clear. (Please note: Jean prefers smaller classes, so the limit is six students. Sign up soon!!)

Art-I-Facts (Tuesday Evenings, 6:30-8:30pm)
We are taking registrations for the next set of Artifacts Programs
to start September 9th- ($140.00 for a ten month period ending in June. We will be working on an art journal (I don’t know what else to call it!) using lots of incredible Seven Gypsies papers and embellishments! Interested? Give us a call!!)
Art-i-facts is a “Show and Share” program open to everyone who has some experience with Papercrafts on some level. It starts with a one hour (or so) mini class, with a break for refreshments (included) and then a 45 minutes period where you show (and tell about) some of the cool stuff you have made during the previous month.*
If papercrafting in some form or other is your hobby, we would love to have you come and join a fantastic group of friendly and creative ladies when we meet, once a month, on a Tuesday evening, starting on September 9th. A standard card kit is required for this program, but all other supplies are included!
(*Please note that this part of the evening is mandatory, sorry. If you don’t do much creative stuff (stamping, stenciling, any card-making, scrapbooking, collage, whatever) during the month, then this might not be the program for you.)
